CD Front Cover Mock-Up

I started off by taking a photograph of the scrabble letters laid out on my desk. However once I started trying to edit, I realised that the colour of the desk made it incredible difficult to cut around the letters easily. I then decided to put the letters onto yellow paper to photograph...

I found this method much easier due to the difference in the colour of the letters and the paper. I used the magic lasso tool, eraser, and smudge tool. However the edges still weren't perfect, this is something I would spend more time on if I decided to use this idea for my final product. Here is a printscreen of me editing on Photoshop:

With a photograph of a Union Jack from google I put this together:

I will try another version where I will simply lay out the letters on a flag, however I quite like this version. It's simple but still shows my skills on photoshop well and portrays the band in a way that I like. I have a few more ideas that I would like to mock up and try out but at the minute I'm very pleased with this. I would also make sure that the lighting was the same on each piece as the current lighting makes it look less smooth and professional.
