Libertines Gigs

The libertines close fan base which they interact with regularly. By hosting Guerilla gigs which are regularly announced on the day, and are hosted in small venues such as pups or in one instance Pete Doherty's flat. The film Fuck the Police shot in 2003 by Anne McCloy captured one such gig at The Albion Rooms when the police raided and closed down an impromptu gig after complaints by irate neighbours.

Guerilla gigs are one of the Libertines most differentiating features, we have included our live gig scene as a guerilla gig. We have planned to try and capture the essence of a guerilla gig by using a small location (Maz's attic) amateur lighting (desk lights, house lamps) included a large audience for the size of location and by including specific props such as beer bottles by the drum set, flags hanging from the ceiling and finally by the band dressing in casual attire.
