Costume - Joe

Joe wears quite thick glasses anyway so I'm debating whether or not to ask him to wear them. It could look okay and demonstrate the Indie/Rock genre how we want to, or it could look tacky. We might try a few shots with and some without to see what looks best. He could also wear them hooked onto his tshirt for a less clean cut vibe.

I like the look Joe has anyway and this it's right for our music video. This is the sort of T-Shirt he would usually wear, I'll probably ask him to wear it under his jacket/shirt as this creates layers which is common with the Rock/Indie style.

I'm debating what to ask Joe to wear as a top layer currently, however I think for the look we want to create layering is necessary as it looks scruffy. Whilst a leather or denim jacket would look cool and make him look like a Rock singer, a checked shirt would appeal to the Indie scene. I think that I'll get him to bring over a few choice outfits on Wednesday and then we'll decide from there.

Joe will wear jeans rather than trousers or shorts. They will be rolled up and preferably ripped, again this adds to the rock image and makes him look a bit more scruffy rather than well groomed.

I think this style of boat shoes is perfect. They're simple and can be worn without socks to make him look even more messy which is exactly what we want. Even though the shoes won't necessarily be in shot, it's important to think about every minute detail of a shot.

With Joe's costume to keep the budget low I've thought about clothes that I know he already owns which would work in the music video. I've tried to keep a minimalistic, Indie look that looks scruffy and thrown together but at the same time well thought out. His hair will probably be simple and messy as we don't want him to look too groomed.
