Blink 182 - Always

Genre= Pop Punk, Alternative
Genre Characteristics= Bright Colours, Low Key Punk, Messy Haircuts, Tatoos, Modern Mise En Scene, Teenage Past-Times.
Relationship Between Visual and Lyrics= Romance, "iv been here before a few times" tried hard to win the girl. Actions in lyrics followed on screen "hold you, touch you"
Close Ups Of Artist and Star Image Motifs=Close up of the band performing but still within the 3 sectioned video. The mise en scene suits the target audience and the genre but not of the band. The mise en scene is very "affordable" and relates more to the audience.
Is Their Reference To The Notion Of Looking= References to the notion of looking include that we presume all three of them have been dating the same girl for a long time, we presume from the start that they know each other as they are all wearing the same attire.
Are There Intertextual References? There are instruments laying around the apartment that would presume she is associated with the band, the band is on a sticker on the girls fridge, her flooring matches the shoes of Mark Hoppus, also there is the police line do not cross banner and the skateboard from the Girl At The Rock Show Video also by Blink 182.
Is The Video Performance, Narrative or Concept Based? How Much Of Each? The Video is mainly narrative but performances are interweaved into the chorus by using instruments in the scene and using other objects such as the tv to portray the clips. Although the narrative does revolve around the concept of Blink 182.
